Circle4Success Program Overview
“My favorite part of C4S is that I learned that the King loves us.” (1st Grader)
“My son is beginning to become closer to God. He enjoys praying to the Lord for help.
“Something I learned about the King that I never knew is He can make great changes
in my life.” (5th grader)
“My daughter’s appreciation for the Lord is apparent now in her conversation.”
Our After School Enrichment Program this school year has been redesigned and renamed Circle4Success (C4S). Framing what we do in C4S is a simple prayer: “I will continue, O my God, to do all my actions for the love of You” (Jean Baptist de La Salle).
The C4S program has a theme verse of Luke 10:27 - “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind.” This theme reflects the reality that God is our King and we are His children, learning to love Him and live with Him forever.
Following that concept, each child in C4S is referred to as a King’s Kid. Each King’s Kid is valued and is uniquely created for a special and important purpose in the King’s Kingdom!
The ‘4’ in C4S stands for the four areas that the program addresses as we seek to encourage the Kids in their growing love for the King:
Heart (social and emotional development)
- Stop and Think Behavior Framework - Kids are empowered by choices
- Daily Shout-Outs - Brief words of appreciation said about each other
- Team Building Activities
- Reward Room (Fridays) - All eligible Kids can play video games, foosball, air hockey, board games and eat a special treat
Soul (spiritual growth)
- Each Kid receives their own new Bible
- God Times - Chapel meets separately for K-2 and 3-6 grades
- Curriculum based on the book, Pilgrim’s Progress, an allegory of Christian life, offers activities, reading and journal writing
- Sharing Godspots - ways that God was seen at work that day in the Kids’ lives
Strength (character and skill development)
- Daily Open Gym time
- Arts Enrichment - specialized areas of interest in art, music and movement (see the Arts Enrichment page)
- Mural Painting - all Kids participate in helping paint a mural depicting the Pilgrim’s Progress story on both sides of the 90 ft. long C4S hallway (see Mural Project page)
Mind (academic enrichment).
- Homework Completion - all Kids have over one hour daily for homework with assistance provided as needed
- Daily Math & Literacy Enrichment - both whole-group and individual enrichment with teacher read-alouds, buddy reading and various math games
It is our vision and desire to create a fun and engaging environment that glorifies our King and protects His Kids, giving them a safe, healthy and loving environment in which to learn and grow to their God-given potential. It is our God-given responsibility to lovingly guide the Kids in every facet of the Circle4Success program.
