Dear Friend:
“If you dream it, you can achieve it”; “you are only limited by your imagination”; “you can do anything if you put your mind to it ”. Most of us are familiar these adages encouraging us to dream and aspire to great things.
Whether you believe those adages or not, one of the ‘factors’ that we face in seeking to break generational cycles of poverty and underachievement is that too many of our urban children don’t have family backgrounds or experiences that encourage them to aspire to something as basic as maybe making it through high school.
The children enrolled in Circle Urban Ministries’ Circle4Success After-School Enrichment Program (C4S) are learning that their potential is greater than what they may have witnessed around them. C4S encompasses personal development (including Faith), academics, and the arts (including music, art, dance etc.).
Watching the children as they are involved in the program is a real treat. They are engaged, active, learning, and joyful. They are being introduced to the God who loves them and wants to have a relationship with them. They are being exposed to enrichment activities that will go with them throughout their lives, bringing enjoyment, enrichment, and success. As you learn more about our Circle4Success Program, we hope that you feel prompted to be involved with your time, talent and/or treasure.
