Circle4Success After-School Enrichment Update

Our spring newsletter dealt in-depth with the Circle4Success Program (C4S). So, I thought I would share more with you the impact the program is having on the children as witnessed by their parents/guardians. Following are a few of the questions with responses from the survey we asked them to complete at the end of the school year. (In case you missed it you can find the Spring 2010 - Circle4Success Newsletter on our website at http://www.circleurban.org/c4s-lttr.htm)

Have you noticed a change in your child/ren since s/he began attending C4S this year?
“[He is] interested more about the Bible and things of Christ. His behavior has changed for the better.”
“The program has started him to learn the Bible. I think that is great.”
“She’s more positive, outgoing, and into the Bible”
“Marcus has been taught how to be responsible and to walk with the wise. Making the right decisions.”

What is your child’s attitude toward C4S?
“We discuss God and things of the Bible more, and what was taught in C4S.”
“Randal has been excited about the performances he has participated in.”
“His attitude is great, he loves talking about the scripture he learns.”
“… and he never wants to miss C4S.”

How do you feel your child is benefitting from C4S?
“She is getting a solid Christian experience.”
“It has enhanced my children’s social skills and their knowledge of Christ.”
“I believe the program helps my child’s self-esteem, and the activities help him in learning different arts. He believes he can do anything he puts his mind to.”
“I like the fact that they teach them about God and they teach them morals and values and understanding and how to treat people with kindness and respect and to be a valuable citizen."

As you can see, in addition to the experiences the children are having with the various enrichment activities, a transformation is taking place in their lives. The blending of academic help, enrichment activities, and spiritual instruction are preparing these children for success.
