Investing in Future Urban Leaders

Plant kingdom seeds with us

Circle-Rock Preparatory School founded Appleseed Partners so that we could provide high-quality, Christ-centered education at a cost affordable to the families in our neighborhood. Appleseed Partners is a program that invests in the future. We're planting and nurturing seeds in the hearts and minds of children.

You can become an Appleseed Partner and make an investment that will bear fruit for a lifetime. Just call Lonni Kehrein at 773/854-1644 or e-mail her at lonnik@circleurban.org.

A distinctive of Appleseed Partners is that it offers opportunities for personal involvement in the lives of children and their families. Each year we hold an Appleseed Dinner, and Partners Day, where partners, staff and students enjoy an evening of great food, fellowship and updates on what's happening at the school. During the Partners Day, Appleseed Partners can spend the day in the classroom of the students and share in the learning process along side the teachers.

Appleseed Partners operates on the scriptural principle, "Two are better than one . . . and a cord of three strands is not quickly broken." (Eccl. 4:9,12) It takes $6,500 each year to educate a child at CRPS. Each of the three partners of Appleseed shares in that cost:

Strand One: CRPS and Appleseed Families

In the face of sometimes great personal sacrifice, parents scrimp and save to send their children to CRPS. Families pay an average of $1900 for tuition. The teachers and support staff of CRPS pour themselves out to generate excellence. But they can't do it alone.

Strand Two: Appleseed Classroom Sponsors

Strand two includes churches and individuals who support CRPS with finances and personal involvement. Three types of sponsorship are available to Appleseed Classroom Sponsors:

Apple Sponsor: supports the education of one child for at least a year at a cost of $1900/year

Apple Tree Sponsor: covers the cost of more than one child, but less than one classroom (e.g., 2=$3,800 / 3=$5,700, etc.)

Apple Orchard Sponsor: sponsors a full classroom of 18 children at an annual cost of $35,000

Strand Three: Appleseed Corporate Sponsors

Corporate sponsors provide the final third of CRPS' budget.

These five opportunities provide a stratified level of participation opportunities:

  • Participating Sponsors: $5,000 to $9,999
  • Cooperative Sponsors: $10,000 to $24,999
  • Network Sponsors: $25,000 to $49,999
  • Associate Sponsors: $50,000 to $99,999
  • Senior Sponsors: $100,000

If you are interested in becoming an Appleseed Partner, send an e-mail to Lonni Kehrein, Appleseed Partners Coordinator, at lonnik@circleurban.org. Write "Appleseed Partner Info" in the subject line and include your name and address as well as any questions you might have about Appleseed.

Friends of Appleseed

You may be interested in supporting Appleseed Partners, but not at the full level of partnership. We invite you to give whatever you are able to help us plant seeds in children's lives.
